CCL Double Ended Joints
In some situations it may-be necessary to connect two lengths of wire together. For example, it may be possible to re-use wire when only part of the prestressing bed is in use. CCL Double Ended Joints are used to achieve such a joint. They consist of two tapered barrels, each containing a wedge and a spring. The two are joined together by means of a knurled centre plug, which makes assembly simple and safe. The chamfered ends of the joints are designed to help reduce the likelihood of one joint becoming trapped against another during the prestressing process.
Used to connect similar (Same size/grade) strand/wire between the anchoring points.
Available in sizes; 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 7mm, 8mm, 9.6mm, 11mm, 13mm, 15mm and 18mm
