Shear Force Dowel Systems
Egcodorn is a high-performance corrosion-proof transverse force dowel which transfers maximum loads whilst having a minimal component thickness. When using Egcodorn extensive formwork for expansion joints is not necessary. The unique corrosion protection system and the use of high-quality materials guarantee highest safety and reliability.
The Egcodorn system for very high static loads has a DIBT(Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik = German Institute for Structural Engineering) approval (Z-15.7-252).
A solution for expansion joints which must be considered by the designer as component parts with “non prevailing resting action” is only available from MAX FRANK. The Egcodorn system DND is suitable for static and non-static loads and has a DIBT approval (Z-15.7.112).
In order to guarantee the optimal load introduction for any component thickness and load, the Egcodorn is available in seven different sizes. Special and intermediate sizes are designed and produced according to the exact site conditions.
To provide the designer with the ultimate safety and freedom of design, the standard Egcodorn can be used for a maximum joint width of 60 mm and is also available in a version that allows cross-movement. Another safety factor in producing expansion joints by means of Egcodorn is the fire resistance class F120 achieved in connection with the FRANK fire protection seal.
