Door Bottom Seals

The Norsound 800 series (sometimes referred to as Threshold Seals) are designed to work in conjunction with a perimeter seal and where practical a threshold plate. With acoustics, unlike fire and smoke sealing it is essential you seal the threshold of a door as sound will make its way through any crevice available. In the range we have both mechanical and non mechanical seal solutions.

NOR 810


This BS 476: Part 31:1 smoke seal compliant automatic drop down seal has a light weight mechanism which is self levelling when activated. This seal has passed a 100,000 cycle test with ease. The NOR810 acoustic door seal is adjustable to suit the gap size needed and will not only act as an acoustic barrier but also help keep out drafts and keep in energy! Available in lengths up to 1135mm.

NOR 850

The Norsound door shoe is a wipe seal which is a great alternative to an automatic drop down seal. It works with a threshold plate which is slightly raised so it doesn‘t wipe over the floor, carpet or tiles. It also creates the dual air pockets synonymous with Norsound‘s products.

NOR 855


The NOR 855 is a retro fit wipe seal which can be either surface mounted or routed into the base of the door to make flush with the door surface. Its three blades have excellent recovery values ensuring maximum sealing time after time.
